1. Pilocarpine (2% & 4%)
  2. Carbachol
  3. Physiotigmine
  4. Disopropyl Flourophosphate

Mechanism Of Action:

  • In Primary Open Angle Glaucoma,

contraction of longitudinal fibres of ciliary muscles

pressure exerted on sclera spur

change in trabecular meshwork

increased aqueous outflow

reduced IOP

  • In Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma,

Mechanical contraction of pupil

Moves iris away from trabecular meshwork

Opening of the angle

Increased outflow

Reduced IOP.
