ANAEROBES
Anaerobic bacteria are significant for a variety of reasons. They are important in human and veterinary medicine because they play a role in serious, often fatal, infections and intoxications. They can be involved in infectious processes in virtually any organ or tissue of the body and consequently can be recovered from most clinical specimens.
